Vincent had a great weekend...he had a clean sweep of the 5th round of the SupermotoUSA Motorcycle Racing Series at Altamont raceway.
He started off the weekend by teaming up with fellow racer longtime friend and coworker Daryl Tenbrink of Fairfield and Mill Valley's Michael Corbino. The trio combined to take the first place honors in the Team Racing event on Saturday. Each rider raced for 20 minutes each in the hr long competition. Guisande started the event and worked through the pack of riders and eventually handed off the 1st position to Corbino who rode smooth and steady with his road racing background who then handed off the point position to Tenbrink who brought home the 1st place honors with his strong aggressive riding style.

Later in the day, it was Fairfield's Casey Yarrow, who led timed qualifying for the Open Pro Class, followed by Michael Corbino of Mill Valley, Joey Pascarella of Vacaville, Vincent Guisande of Fairfield who qualified 4th and it was Drew Dickson of San Francisco qualifiying in the 5th spot. At the start of the heat race it was Yarrow who pulled the hole shot with Dickson in second, Guisande 3rd, Corbino in 4th, and Michael Hannis of Santa Rosa in 5th. The trio of Yarrow, Dickson, and Guisande battled untill about the 5th lap when Guisande blew his motor handing the 3rd spot to Corbino who eventually made his way around Dixon. The top four finishing order for the Open Pro Heat Race was Yarrow 1st, Corbino 2nd, Dickson 3rd, Hannis 4th, with Guisande finishing 14th with his blown engine.
After going to his back up bike for the Open Pro Main Event, it was Guisande taking the hole shot with Yarrow hot on his rear wheel, the two Fairfield racers would go on to have a heated battle of front until about the 10th lap where Yarrow had to back off succumbing to what is known as tire chatter. Guisande went on to take the win with Yarrow second, Corbino third and Dickson fourth.
On Sunday the same cast of racers would again meet up for battle in the 450 class. It was Guisande who dominated both the Heat Race and the Main Event Races by taking both hole shots and never looking back and winning both events. There were heated battles for the second spot with Dickson, Yarrow, and Corbino who would later crash out of the top four running. At the end of the day, it was Guisande with the convincing win, and Dickson just barley holding off Yarrow for second for the top three podium spots.
