Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Supermoto introduces race transporter as it prepares for opening round

Team riders practicing and participating in regional events

Houston, Texas (May 14, 2008) – As teams and athletes continue to prepare for the opening round of the XBux/AMA Supermoto Championship, the new Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Supermoto is progressing. Its 40-foot race transporter was recently outfitted with a full graphics wrap, with the assistance of Illinois-based Pro Graphics and its owner Jamie Kirk, to highlight DNA Energy Drink and other sponsors, bringing another level of professionalism to private, non-factory supported teams.

Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Supermoto will participate in two classes during the XBux/AMA Supermoto Championship. Thomas Bordelon will run in the Lites class while Mike Ingle and Tim Shea (upon return from injury) take on the Unlimited class.

Team athletes, with the exception of Shea, have been practicing on supermoto and motocross tracks. Bordelon competed in the STTARS Southeast Supermoto Series race at California Speedway in Fontana, Calif. on April 26-27, finishing 10th in the Lites class and 11th in Open Pro on a 250cc bike.

You can check out the entire team at the first round of the XBux/AMA Supermoto Championship at Pacific Raceways in Seattle, Wash. on Sunday, July 13. Fans be sure to enter the team’s season-long drawing at all six AMA rounds for your chance to win the grand prize of a pit bike with team graphics.
