(April 29, 2008) – NSS Footwear recently signed on to support AMA Supermoto racer Johnny Lewis and his new team, EVOLVE[moto]. NSS produces and markets premium shoes for skateboarders, action sports athletes and fans. Eighteen year-old Lewis is the first NSS athlete outside of skateboarding. He signed a one-year contract, and financial terms were not released.
“Johnny is both extremely talented and super motivated,” said Brett Nunn, sports marketing and sales for NSS Footwear. “This is a lethal combination, which made it a no-brainer when the chance to be a part of his program presented itself. We look forward to an exciting year of racing from JL. Watch out because this kid is about to blow up!” NSS will participate in a variety of marketing activities with Lewis and Team EVOLVE[moto]. It has outfitted the entire team with its shoes such as the Campthem model. At races and other events, the team will have an NSS display showing its wide range of models. This summer, NSS will participate in the team’s monthly fan drawings with the winner receiving an action sports package featuring a pair of NSS shoes. Fans can sign-up at the track or on the team’s web site for a chance to win beginning in June. Lewis added, “The shoes feel great and I like the designs. Ever since receiving my first pair, I’ve been wearing them all over from the Navy Moto X World Championships to the grocery store. I extremely appreciate everything that NSS Footwear has already done and is committing to us this year. Our goal at the end of the year is that thousands more people will be aware of NSS and their stylin’, well-fitting shoes.” To learn more about NSS Footwear and check out its shoe line, visit www.nicefootwear.com Lewis’ season kicked off this month at the Stateline Supermoto Challenge in Primm, Nevada on April 4-6, which is a major warm-up race.
