SM National Round at Connecticut Is Back – Was it ever gone?
Despite recent press releases that stated Round 2 of the AMA Supermoto National Championship in Connecticut was cancelled—it’s back on. In fact, sources say the race was never off although the promoter of the event has changed.
A reliable source dropped us this information today which gives the series a much needed boost of good news. The source stated that an official media release will be issued in the next few days with details of the event.
The National Championship series will consist of at least six rounds for 2008 with two major non championship point races including the already run Moto X World Championships and the X Games August 1-2.
The series goes back east for two rounds this year with races in Connecticut on August 10 and Wisconsin August 24. There is a also a big money (Non AMA round) that will take place in Michigan between the two rounds back east for racers that will be hanging out between those two events. For that race check out www.misupermoto.com. This race will take place at Auto City Speedway on August 16 between rounds 2 and 3 of the National series. |
