Wardy Back For 2008 and Maybe Even Mr. Daytona?

 

Right now there are a lot of rumors that Troy Lee Designs rider Jeff Ward will be back again for 2008. Wardy was already planning on doing the big ESPN events in April and August and possibly a few rounds of the AMA series but now he might do it all. Since two of the AMA rounds are run on the same weekend as the ESPN races, that leaves six more rounds. He probably figures he was already half way there so why not just run the entire series.

These rumors have not been confirmed but sources said they are fairly solid.

 

Another further fetched rumor rumbled around during the Indy dealer trade included the name Scott Russell. Yea, Mr. Daytona.  The guy still has the itch to ride and may make a few races in 2008, including supermoto. Russell has always loved supermoto and has been riding and racing supermoto long before the sport became mainstream. This is a very loose rumor but our source said Russell was trying to work a deal out with his insurance company to allow him to do some racing again. It would be pretty sick to see Russell hit a few AMA supermoto races as well as road races.
