MISuperMoto releases 2008 schedule that
includes two races with cash payouts

MotoPR selected as public relations and marketing agent

Linden, Mich. – MISuperMoto is proud to announce its expanded schedule for 2008 that includes not only one but two supermoto races with cash payouts, and 11 ‘Test and Tune Days’ in Michigan. At the same time, it has selected Moto Public Relations (MotoPR) to help establish it as the premier regional supermoto racing and track day series east of the Mississippi.

“I am excited already about this year with our expanded schedule,” said Dave Duprey, owner of MISuperMoto. “More racing, big jumps and more corners designed for backin’ it in supermoto-style!!!”

The Dean Arbour Ford Ogemaw County Bike Week Supermoto race will take place on Thursday, July 10 at 6 p.m. in West Branch, Mich. The second race, the MISuperMoto X, will be on Saturday, August 16 at Auto City Speedway in Clio, Mich. starting at 6 p.m. Both races will have at least a $2,500 purse and there will be amateur and pro classes. Last year, 38 supermoto riders participated in the single race. Entry fees and tickets will be announced at a later date.

In 2007, the MISuperMoto Test and Tune Days saw a 12 percent increase in rider participation. The Test and Tune Days, run on Sundays 12 - 4 p.m., allow new riders to get a feel for supermoto at a safe facility while current riders can use the sessions to practice and experience supermoto on a closed course. The 2008 schedule starts on Sunday, April 20 at Auto City Speedway in Clio, Mich. Additional Test and Tune Days will be held at Auto City and Jackson Speedway in Jackson, Mich., wrapping up on Sunday, November 9 when U.S. Veteran’s can ride free. Many new riders have experienced these track days along with pros such as multi-time AMA Grand National Champion Scotty Parker.

MotoPR will be providing MISuperMoto with the expertise to have a concerted public relations and marketing effort to increase rider and fan participation as well as sponsorships.

MotoPR president Bryan Peckinpaugh added, “I am thrilled that MotoPR will be working closely with MISuperMoto to promote the sport among current riders and to grab the attention of new ones in Michigan and nearby states. Supermoto is a thrilling sport to me coming from a flat track racing family.”
